Can I Collect Money from Guests for My Event?
Yes, we do offer the option to collect monetary donations using PayPal and Venmo.
Web
- If you would like to collect money from guests, go to the Invitation Options page and find the Advanced Features tab. Turn the Request Contributions feature ON. You will be asked for your PayPal or Venmo account email address as well as an amount you would like to suggest, and your amount goal (we do not currently support any other platforms, if you would like to request contributions you can include a link to it in your Additional Information section in Event Details).
iOS & Android Apps
- To be able to collect monetary donations through your invitation when using the mobile, first, head to the Options page for your invite. Next, under the Advanced section, tap on the Request Contributions option and then on the Add Contribution Details button.
- You will then be asked for your PayPal account email address as well as an amount you would like to suggest, and your amount goal.
- NOTE: We do not currently support Venmo contributions on our Android apps. To add a Venmo account to your contributions, you'd need to do this from the website.
Guests will be able to contribute funds through a credit card or their PayPal or Venmo account. Note that guests will not be required to pay, this only gives your guests the option to donate.
If you are requiring payment for an event, you can notify guests in the Additional Information section in Event Details, or you can send out an Announcement.
Please Note: Donation results are available in your PayPal or Venmo account, not on Punchbowl.
